Symposium Notice: "Toward Sustainable Cities: Efficiency and Balance“ [Held on December 12th, 2013]
November 29th, 2013
Saint-Gobain in Japan is offering support for the following symposium.
Today, a majority of the earth's population is concentrated in cities, and this portion of the population is responsible for more than half of all greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, it is clear that new countermeasures are needed to deal with the dual challenge of climate change and depletion of oil resources.
This symposium, which provides an outline of the sustainable city concept and explores the path to its actualization, brings together Japanese and French researchers, policymakers, regional public organization representatives and private sector representatives to discuss issues related to the future. We hope you will consider attending this event.
