Fiber for filtration
SAINT-GOBAIN ADFORS manufactures staple fibers (short fibers) of C glass with high alkali content and needle mats for filter applications.
With both acid resistance and heat resistance, it is possible to realize cartridge filters and mist separators that are compatible with the filtration of strongly acidic and high-temperature liquids and gases.

Staple fiberBio-soluble oil is added to discontinuous fibers (short fibers) of C-glass, the fibers are collected, and false-twisted into filaments. Based on the acid resistance derived from C glass and high heat resistance with a softening point of 650°C, it is used for filter media such as industrial cartridge filters, mist separators, and oil separators.

Needle matUsing C-glass staple fiber as a raw material, we manufacture mats that can be used as is as a filter medium. We have a wide lineup with a heat resistance temperature of 500°C, a weight of 300 to 2,500 g/m2, and a thickness of 3 to 30 mm. |
